Run and Reporting Rules

Because OSDB is an open source project, you can use it as you like, subject only to

  1. The GNU General Public License
  2. The restriction that you may not claim that your results have been certified, approved, or in any way endorsed by the OSDB project.

We do offer the following guidelines, but not rules, for how to report your results.

  1. Precisely and accurately identify the configuration of the system(s) on which you ran your tests, including
    • Hardware
    • Network configuration
    • Other software running on the system(s)
    • Specific version of OSDB
    • Any modifications that you made to OSDB
    • Specific version of the Operating System
    • Specific version of the Database engine
    • Specific configuration settings for the Database engine
